The Sunset House in southern West Virginia was built by Lilah and Nick using lumber reclaimed from a barn on their property which was cut and milled from the land by the previous owner many years ago. All the windows are reclaimed from junkyards over their history of thrifting together. More pictures.

While I’m on a role with rustic interiors, how about another one? This completely renovated cabin is located in the town of Megéve in the French Alps. It was a 2 year project to renovate the 1870 structure, and was decorated by Belgian decorator Lionel Jadot. It’s filled with an unexpected mix of vintage finds and elements from trips to Africa, Asia and Europe. The decor is a fantastic surprise, but I’m a little taken aback by the Bisazza tiles on the kitchen island. Those don’t make sense to me for this home - they’re too elegant. Everything else = LOVE!!!
